Extra Olive Oil Dressing Ham with Squash and Green Beans

Extra Olive Oil Dressing Ham with Squash and Green Beans

RATING: 9.0 out of 10

I am not much of a cook other than when Thanksgiving comes around. Every year I host a "Community Thanksgiving dinner" where anyone who is hungry can just come by and grab them a plate. Well this year, I wanted to experiment with the ham that I always cook every year.

What you will need:
   - Ham
   - Extra Olive Oil Salad Dressing
   - Salt/Pepper
   - Butter
   - 2 Squash
   - 1 big can of green beans or 2 small cans.
   - Pan

For my sides I chose corn on cob, small dinner rolls and mac/cheese.

1. Preheat your oven to about 350 degrees. This is where I made my mistake. I put the oven on 400. As result, you see in the picture, my timing was off and it burnt the edges but it was still awesome! lol

2. Grease your pan that you plan to use to cook the ham with butter. Go ahead and add a pinch of salt and pepper to the bottom of the pan. If you want, you can go ahead and chop up your squash and add your green beans and squash to the pan. But leave a spot in the middle so that your ham can go there.

3. Butter your ham really thoroughly and rub salt/pepper on to your ham. After wards, place the ham in the pan.

4. This is where the Extra Olive Oil Salad dressing comes in. After you have placed your ham in the pan, you will need to add two small slices of butter to each side of the ham. Then, you will pour the contents (Only half the bottle)  from your Salad dressing bottle all over the ham until it coats it. You will end up with extra dressing and if you want to use it all, just pour it over the vegetables.

5. Fill the salad dressing bottle up with water, put the lid back on and shake the bottle to mix up the remainder contents. Then you will pour the remaining contents in the pan. Put pan in the oven.

6. I would recommend that you let it cook (If you had the oven preheated this whole time), for about 35 to 45 minutes. Afterwards, take it out of then oven, add your sides and enjoy!

MY RATING: 9.0 out of 10

The reason why I gave this a rating of 9.0 is because this was very good and I loved how the squashed soaked up the flavor. But some parts of it seemed very sweet when I did it the first time (Too much sauce or too much salt maybe). Also, I did not set the oven to the right temperature or correct time of how long it should cook for thus resulting it getting a little burned. But other than that, I really enjoy this recipe and can't wait to try it again for Thanksgiving. :)

MY NEXT RATING: Making homemade and washable fake blood for Halloween. (Video)
