To Say Goodbye

To Say Goodbye:

I wanna say I loved you first,
But I know that would be a lie.
You will never know how much it hurts.
For me to say goodbye...

I would check my phone everyday,
In hopes I would hear from you.
But my hopes started to fade away,
And so did you...

What has changed,
Or what did I do?
For you to push me away,
For you not to love me too.

All I ever wanted,
Was to hear about your day.
If you slept good through the night,
Or just to hear that you was okay.

I didnt always want sex,
Just wanted to be by your side.
To hear your hearbeat.
Reminding myself that your love for me was still alive.

I know I've made mistakes,
And nowhere near perfect.
I really did try to change for you,
And hoped that wait would be well worth it.

Watching you move on,
Still brings tears to my eyes,
Because as much as I wanted to be a major part in your life,
It is best that I say my goodbyes.

Always and forever,
That will never change.
Because I will  always love you,
Always and forever babe.

I Hate To Love You

I hate to love you....
Because of the way you make me feel.
Giving me small bits of happiness while at the same just piss me off.

I hate to love you....
You showing me that there might be something real between us for one small moment.
But then the ugly face of reality shows itself reminding me that you are really full of shit.

I hate to love you....
I love the way you look into my eyes. Your kiss so full of passion giving me some hope you care for me.
But  I really know you don't really care for me.... You just like the taste.

I hate to love you....
My stomach filling up with butterflies with every chance I get to hear your voice.
But then your mood comes in like an overnight freeze, killing all existence of any butterflies that was there.

Saying to myself how I am such a damn fool while crying in the shower attempting to remove any memory of your touch and the regrets I have.
But when you walk though the door, my heart skips a beat yearning for one ounce of your love. Even if it is only temporary.

I hate to love you....

Painful heart: The prey and predator

What's the use of having a heart,
If it is broken over and over again.
All of my life it  has slowly been torn apart,
But I am the one letting it happen.
Shredded into tiny bits,
Picking up the pieces each day.
Even though I try to act like the predator,
I am really the prey.
Was as strong as the Lion,
But your touch has made me weak.
But you will never know.
That's why I must leave.
I was once strong,
Built a wall to keep my hopes contained,
Let it open for a chance,
But sadly was weakened and crushed,
By a hunters blade.
I should've never took a chance,
And let hope for love in.
Lingering for last chance of remorse,
My heart is stabbed once again

Except For Me

Except For Me:

There is no greater pain then the pain of a broken heart.
What I thought "WE" had....Eventually fell apart.
I had hopes...
But like the birds heading south for the winter.... My hopes flew away.
I had dreams...
But just as the clouds do on a windy night, they moved on with no intentions to stay.
I had excitement...
But tragically was destroyed by disappointment and despair.
Even thought we had spark like lightning...
But was really like thunder on a hot summer night... Nothing but flashes and hot air.
I thought I had it all and could be happy once again....
But because what we had was really nothing.. I was really mistaken.
I am doomed to be forever alone,
Because Love has forsaken me.
Everyone is destined for Love,
Everyone except for me....

My Thoughts

A friend of mine was telling me about how our friend Sharon has lost so much weight and of course I asked what her secret was. (Now I sound like a commercial in the making.. lol) Then she told me about these weight loss patches. Patches? Like the nicotine patches? I laughed because I have never heard of weight loss patches but she explained. They are an herbal patch that help promote weight loss by giving you more energy, bumping up your metabolism and cutting down your appetite. And they work she said. Me being skeptical, I said yeah right and just laughed it off. She said that I really should try it since she knew I have been trying to lose weight and gave me a 3 sample pack with the ingredients and instructions. The only thing she asked was to give her feedback so that they can have it for their sales customers or future customers. I agreed to try it for three days and here are my results. If you have Thyroid problems then this patch WILL NOT work.

Day 1:

At 8 am I took the pack out and read the instructions. I cleaned the area that I planned to put the patch on, dried it off and place the patch on my left upper arm. And from there, I went on with my day.

Results:
None as of today.
Side Effects:
 YES
Nothing major but just a burning tingling on my arm. When I did some research, I found that because of the chemical components from the patch slowly being absorbed through my skin, (Especially on the arm) that my body is not used to this "unknown" chemical but just have to get a tolerance to it. So basically, I just got to get used to it.
Pros/Cons:
CONS: Make sure that where ever you put the patch, that you shave that area. I had a problem with keeping the patch on because of the hair (Or so I thought). When I would sweat it would keep falling off so I had to used medical tape to keep it on.

Day 2:

I removed the old patch and placed another one on my right back shoulder after my shower. I had what seemed to have more energy today and did not even wanna eat breakfast. No appetite. But still ate a little something (just in case). And through out the day, I was energized and not so hungry. I managed to get my housed cleaned, closets cleaned out, yard work done and was still not tired. I was like. Wow! This patch is wonderful! I will start calling it:

 "Crack Patch"

Results:
Starting weight: 240
Ending weight: 239

Side Effects:
"Some"
I think my body is starting to get used to the patch but still have the same tingling sensation to it through my right arm. Plan to place the third patch on my stomach this time.

Pros/Cons:
PROS: I have more energy, less appetite and not so worn out at the end of the day.
CONS:  Even after shaving and drying the skin well, the patch kept wanting to fall off because I was sweating from working out a bit so I again used the medical tape.

Day 3:

I did my same routine that I have done in the past two days today and I may not have had as much energy as yesterday but I still had more than usual. This time I placed the patch on to my stomach and it stayed on much better this time but still had to use tape at the middle of the day. My appetite was still down and I felt like I had my cup of coffee already. Went through out my day as usual and was able to work out longer and work on my belly dance routine. Even I hate to admit it, but this Crack Patch was wonderful! I plan to try the 30 day supply for $29.99 to see the results for the month. And we will see from there! I did have some side effects to it and kept falling off but it did give me more energy and cut my appetite almost in half. So I def can say I was shocked and pleased.

Results:
Starting Weight: 240
Ending weight: 237

Side Effects:
None for the stomach

 Pros/Cons:
PROS: Still did not have much of an appetite and had energy. More than I normally would in the mornings and felt better.
CONS: The patch still sometimes like to come of when I sweat so I have to use medical tape to hold it down.

Final Thoughts and Review

I must admit that was I was kinda skeptical about even trying this patch. I have tried other weight loss things before such as pills, shakes, everything. But just in three days I was happy to see that I was losing weight. Not much but that counts. I plan to try it for the month to see if I have any result and re-post it here on my blog. Even though I had good results I still gave this patch a 8.0/10 rating because:
  • When first trying the patch I had to get over the tingling burning sensation that I was feeling on my arm. It was more of an annoying discomfort really.
  • The patch kept falling off even after I would shower, chill down, shave the hair and dry off completely. It would come off when I would sweat so I had to use medical tape to hold it on. And trust me, taking off medical tape is no fun. (Ouchies for rip and baby oil to remove residue)
  • The positive thought is that I had more energy and less of an appetite. Which is great and I know that is how everyone has been losing weight. If you don't eat as much and keep moving you will burn the fat away.
  • And just for three days, I saw results in a few pounds.. That makes a difference.
So for the reasons I stated above, is why I gave these patches a current score of:

"8.0 out of 10"

Never Judge a Book by its Cover

Never Judge a Book by its Cover

"Never judge a book just by its cover. If you do, then you may never know the truths that lies from within. Some that are beautiful may be filled with lies and misconception while some of the ugliest of covers hold true beauty and meanings."

Never judge a book by its cover. Never judge a person just by the way they look. Never let the looks of anything deceive you. I keep repeating this to myself almost all the time even though at some points during the day it is very hard. As a human being, I know that I am not perfect and should treat everyone the same way as I would want to be treated. As a Christian, I need to always remember that only GOD can judge his children in this world.

As some of you may know, I have worked in different type of jobs such as factory, retail, service and now medical. Every time I would start a new job, there would times where I would try compare that one job to my last job. Then that is where the judging would begin... I would catch myself comparing them together whether it was the building, its practices and even its employees. I always did this the very first few weeks I would start at a new job: "Well.. We used to do it this way, why don't you do it like this?" "JUDGING" or "The people were so much nicer at my last job then here. No one is polite and outgoing" "JUDGING". I've said it all and wanted to just quit and go back to my old job because I did not give it time at first nor took the time observe the truth. I was blinded from what my eyes first saw made automatic assumptions. I ACTED before THINKING... That is a BIG mistake. If you open your eyes, pay attention and observe before making a quick assumption, you will see the truth. I did that after I realized what I have been doing before. Not long afterwards, I started noticing how wonderful those people were and that they were not what I made them seem to be. I made great friends. I also learned that every company is different and has to meet their own criteria. Yeah, everyone person and company has it's flaw but no one is perfect. You can change your clothes, your makeup, hair or even face but you are still the same person from within so why hide it. Be true by being you.

So just remind yourself that you must always keep your eyes open and to make sure that you never act quickly on judgment but to give yourself  time to observe. To never just judge someone or something just because what they look or from what you heard. Find out for yourself and learn the truth before judging.

That is my rant for today but I hope you have enjoyed reading. Thanks!  Ashley Meagan Ashley

RECYCLE AND REUSE: Dishwasher Tray as Dish Drainer?

RECYCLE AND REUSE

Dishwasher Tray

My Thoughts

Okay.. Here is another one of my or actually.. My HUSBAND's great ideas. (lol) Let me explain... When me and my husband moved back to the city, the house we lived and currently still live in did not have a dishwasher. Which at first I was like "Ehhhhhhhhhh... I guess we are gonna have to wash the dishes the old fashion way.." But I don't mind.. I love this house! We thought about buying a dishwasher but a couple factors came to mind. First, I really do not want to spend money on one because they are not cheap. Secondly, we did not have the room to put one in because our cabinets are too small for one. And third, between redesigning the cabinets, paint, and piping we would have to put in, my wanting for a dishwasher went away real quick. Now to finding the perfect dish drainer was the second problem.

We have tried numerous ones. Let me explain about the ones we have tried.

 Plastic Strainer:
   - These are the basic strainers that you can buy at any store. These are nice if you either live by yourself or if you have one other person that lives with you or you are the type of awesome person that ensures that all dishes are washed, dried and put away at that moment. Well.. I am not.. nor anyone in my household.... like those type of people I just listed above. I am not perfect and I do not always put my dishes up each time.. Normally.. My sink will fill up until I hate looking at it and then I will do the dishes, put them on the strainer and leave them there. Then when more dishes pop up, I stack more in the strainer praying that it stays and does not tip over but eventually end up putting the dishes up. With these plastic ones for the not so perfect family like mine, these tip over, and just not big enough. The last thing is that lord help ya after you  put up the dishes and there is water still in the catch pan and you bump it. Water is going to go everywhere!! I've done this a few times... The pros to this strainers is that it is perfect for single or small families, low cost and are easy to clean.

 Metal Drainers:
   - The metal drainers can vary in price. Some are really cheap while some can get up there in the price range. Just remember the golden rule. You get what you paid for. This picture shown is the style of metal drainer that we tried. Yes. It was bigger but this had more flaws to it compared to the plastic one. For one, this strainer did not come with a drop pan to catch the water, but we used Shamwows cloths under it. Secondly, the rubber coating over the metal rack started coming off due to the heat assume from the dishes. But it was a cheap drainer so that did not surprise me. And finally the main thing that I hated was that it did not have a place to set the silverware. That really sucked! We ended up going back to the plastic one for a while. If it had a basket attached and a drop pan, then the metal one would not be so bad.

Wooden Strainer
   - Ehhh... Ehhhhhh.. Okay.... Let me tell you about this style. I would not waste my money on this style at all. Let me just list the cons:
  • No drip pan
  • No place for silverware
  • Not big at all and plates would tip and fall over
  • After a few uses, it would fall apart
  • Hard to clean because parts will fall apart due to nail rusting and coming up.
I think there is nothing more I can say about this drainer other than do not buy wooden drainers.

Dishwasher drawl with basket:
   - You can buy these from any appliance shop for about 10 bucks (or more) or go to Lowes Hardware but you will pay higher for one. This is what we use now only because is much better,  holds our dishes very well and even has a drop basket to separate and organize our silverware. Even though it is a bigger version of a metal drainer and it does not have a drip pan under it, I just love the idea of using an old dishwasher drawl as a dish drainer Not to mention that because it is bigger that I can clean it better since I don't have to dig or scrub "small or hard to reach" spots. We also use a towel or a shamwow type of cloth under it which is wonderful as well. Not to mention that this drainer is sturdy, strong,  can hold a lot more dishes in a more organized setting and gives me more space and time to avoid actually putting them up.. Yep... lol But I am sure I am not the only one who procrastinate on this.. At least they get washed and sometimes put up.. With kids in the house, they end up getting used before I can even put them up anyways. lol

I hope you have enjoyed my blog post today and have learned something. Thanks for reading and please share! <3 Ashley M. Ashley
